There are five editions of AC Valhalla. Ubisoft has made a habit of offering its games in as many varieties of packages as possible and in digital and physical form. This guide will help you choose the edition of the game that best describes your needs and wants as a player!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the name of the next game from developer Ubisoft, which is part of the popular franchise.

Valhalla will take you into the dark ages of Vikings expansion in Europe and more precisely in England.

The game comes out at the end of 2020 and is already available for pre-order in several editions. There is no official date yet. The first trailer announced its arrival in “Holiday 2020”. As soon as a date is available, will let you know, of course!

Each of the Valhalla Editions offer a different pack of bonuses and additional benefits in addition to the base game.

The game will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia and PC. Currently, only the PC versions are available for digital pre-order and only the console versions are available for physical pre-order. The exception is the Collector’s Edition. As soon as it changes, I will update this guide.

A Season Pass will also be available, the game will benefit from post-launch support in the form of a free and paid DLC.

Valhalla Standard Edition

The standard edition of Valhalla offers you the game itself without additional gifts or bonus content. The Season Pass will of course be available for separate purchase.

You can get it as a digital purchase or physical copy for all platforms – Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC.

Currently, pre-orders are only available if you choose the standard edition for PC.

Here is what you will get if you purchase the AC Valhalla Standard Edition:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla base game
  • Way of the Berserker pre-order bonus mission

Valhalla Gold Edition

The Gold edition builds on the standard by adding the Season Pass to the included items.

For the moment, this edition is not available for pre-order on consoles in digital format, only as a physical copy.

Here are the elements included in the AC Valhalla Gold edition:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla base game
  • Way of the Berserker pre-order bonus mission
  • The Season Pass

Valhalla Gold Steelbook Edition

A special version of the Gold edition is only available in physical form, as it contains a unique Gold Steelbook.

Here’s what’s included in this edition:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla base game
  • Way of the Berserker pre-order bonus mission
  • The Season Pass
  • Ubisoft Store exclusive steelbook with a design inspired by the emblems of the game

The Ultimate Edition is what I personally pre-ordered for myself. This happens with the standard Gold Edition package, plus the Ultimate package.

Here’s what’s included in the Ultimate Edition:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla base game
  • Way of the Berserker pre-order bonus mission
  • The Season Pass
  • Ultimate package

The Ultimate pack contains the following:

  • The Berserker equipment pack, with the bearded ax, the light shield of the Ursine guard, new skin for your crow, the fierce Hati Wolf mount and the Berserker set for Eivor.
  • The Berserker Longship Pack, which contains a majestic boat with a unique figurehead and a set of new sails.
  • The Berserker Settlement Pack, which includes new ways to customize your settlement.
  • A set of runes to sharpen your weapons or improve the equipment of your choice.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will offer a vast open world, available for exploration on foot and on the water. Your Long Boat will need some improvements and changing its appearance and style could make it less boring during these trips across the sea.

The in-game items might give you a slight boost in the early levels, but I doubt they’ll resist the more powerful loot that awaits you in the later game.

For the most loyal and fanatical fans of the franchise, Ubisoft offers a giant physical pack packed with all kinds of goodies.

This edition is available for pre-order for all platforms. however, it is only available in physical form, due to all the goodies it contains in addition to the Ultimate Edition.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

  • Assassin’s Creed Valhalla base game
  • Way of the Berserker pre-order bonus mission
  • The Season Pass, which will expand your experience with new content, new terrains and new equipment.
  • The ultimate pack
  • A high-end Ubicollectibles statue 30 cm high representing Eivor standing at the bow of his drakkar.
  • A 5 cm high Viking statuette of Eivor with his crow and his Danish ax.
  • A collection case with a unique work of art.
  • Ubisoft Store exclusive steelbook with a design inspired by the emblems of the game.
  • A set of three lithographs presenting some of the most amazing artistic concepts created for the game.
  • A premium certificate of authenticity, serialized with the unique number of your collector’s edition.
  • A soundtrack CD with a selection of game music.

The game will offer post-launch content in the form of free fixes and paid DLC. The Season Pass is included in each edition from Gold and beyond.

It will allow you to travel to new countries, access new epic content and discover new equipment. A special mission will be available at launch if you get the Season Pass early.

There is no specific information on the content of the Season Pass yet. As soon as Ubisoft releases more details, I will update this section of the guide.

Ubisoft’s monthly subscription, called Uplay +, will allow you to play Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as well as the contents of the Season Pass.

This includes the following:

  • The basic game
  • The Season Pass
  • The ultimate pack

As you would expect, if you let your account subscription expire, you will also lose access to the game.

I don’t know if you will have access to the bonus mission, which is usually only granted if you pre-order the game. It is more likely that you will not have access to it, even if you are a monthly subscriber before launch. Game.
